BECOMING A DEALER WITH XHP PRO / BENEFITS


What are my benefits as xHP Pro dealer?

With the tuner app you have access to more functionalities than the end-consumer app, thus enabling you to offer additional services to your customers. By unlocking a vehicle, Tuners always get all Stages in one sweep, whereas private persons have to get a Flash License and Map Pack separately.

Other benefits include:

  • You are part of an exclusive network able to flash BMW transmissions. To date there is no other tool on the market that delivers the ability to flash through OBD and delivers OTS Maps for hundreds of BMWs.

What are the next steps after my registration as xHP Pro dealer?

Log into xHP Pro inside the normal xHP Flashtool app, to get access to dealer capabilities and conditions: https://pro.xhpflashtool.com/

xHP is currently available for Android, iOS/Mac OS (M1 only) and Windows 10.

After unlocking your account, you need to purchase at least 1 Dealer Credit Pack (including 3 Credits/vehicle Unlocks), which then will be automatically credited to your xHP Pro Account. Once the Credits are used up you may unlock single cars through the App (and receive an invoice afterwards) or you can continue to pre-purchase Credits in the Shop.

All unlocked cars are tied to your company account (with the email address you registered with). Sharing your account is strictly forbidden and leads to immediate termination of your account. Your customers can purchase Upgrade Licenses to transfer a dealer unlock to their personal account. More about Upgrade Licenses.


xHP POLICY & GUIDELINES


Are there xHP policies xHP tuners should respect?

It is xHP policy that customers can come to the workshop (= “flashpoint”) of the xHP dealer of their choice, to have their vehicle flashed on site in a workshop by a professional tuner. The tuner has all the equipment and expertise, so the customer does not have to flash the car by himself.

Dealers use their own devices to log into the xHP app and to flash their customer’s cars. These devices should be used on site in the workshop. Usually 5 devices are enough to be used by all employees of a single workshop.

In regards to these points, remote flashing is NOT xHP policy! We limited the number of devices to 5 to prevent possible fraudulent behaviour.

Do not share your account information, if someone else flashes a car, without you knowing, using your account information, you will still have to pay for this car, as if you flashed it yourself.

If you own more than one workshop, then it is possible to open separate xHP Pro accounts, in addition to the initial xHP Pro account. For each xHP Pro account with its own workshop you can use 5 devices to flash. Contact us at support@rbttuning.com if you have more than one flashpoint or have further questions.

Do NOT sell xHP products in your webshop. It is strictly against xHP policies that endusers buy Dealer Credits. Customers should come to your workshop to have their car flashed and they should pay you directly, and you purchase the xHP dealer Credits from xHP via our web-shop or directly via the app. You CAN use the xHP logo and content, but there always has to be a clear distinction between dealer page and xHP pages.


Are there content guidelines for xHP tuners?

Yes, we have content guidelines to ensure a fair competition between dealers.

Dealers are allowed to use the xHP logo and content published across our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram), for their own purpose. But users have to be able to easily distinguish between your dealer page and xHP pages: So do not use the wording “xHP” in the company name, for domain names, social media channels etc.

PRICING / BILLING / VAT ID


What is the price recommendation for end consumers?

Dealers buy Dealer Credit Packs in our webshop at significantly lower prices than end consumers. Also, dealers get maps all in one sweep when unlocking a vehicle.

End consumers have to buy xHP Flash Licenses and xHP Map Pack separately (unlike tuners).

The difference between end consumer price and dealer price is the margin earned by you.

Please do not use this margin to offer xHP to customers “for cheap”, but sell xHP at least at the same price as the price for end consumers.

We strongly encourage you to keep the market vital and play fair against other dealers. We are proud of our quality product and do not want to sell it at dumping prices. Selling by underrunning prices in your region will lead to a ruined market in the long run, as other dealers will also lower their prices accordingly.

Therefore we take reports about dumped prices seriously and will take action in case of serious underrunnings and/or multiple reports from other dealers or customers. Customers utilize your time, tools and infrastructure to get their car flashed, just like they do when bringing in parts for installation. Do a fair calculation with xHP Credits + labour + infrastructure + overhead costs before making an offer to a customer

How much is the price for dealers?

There are no running costs for dealers, you just pay for each flashed / unlocked car. Dealers can buy Dealer Credit Packs in our webshop at significantly lower prices than end consumers.

The difference between the end consumer price and your dealer price is the profit margin earned by you. The higher you set the enduser price, the higher your own profit. Here you see a calculation for Dealer Credit Packs and how much you can earn.

To purchase Dealer Credit Packs, please use your xHP Pro Account's email to order in our Webshop. This ensures your Credits will be added automatically to your Pro-Account within minutes after purchase. Your current Credits are shown inside xHP (Sidebar Menu). xHP will switch to PayPal-Invoice mode, once your credits are used up.

How does the billing process work?

You can buy your initial Dealer Credit Pack via our webshop. On the end of the webshop page you see the different payment methods.

Once all credits have been used up, xHP will switch to PayPal-Invoice mode. In this mode xHP will generate a PayPal-Invoice 24H after each unlock. Those invoices will be delivered to your eMail-Inbox and are due within 7 days. You will get a reminder if the bill is not paid in time.

xHP Pro will lock itself, once invoices are overdue for more than 21 days.

As the invoices are forwarded to your mailbox, you don’t have to log into the xHP backend each time, but can conveniently pay through the PayPal interface or the PayPal app on your mobile device.

Which payment methods can I use?

You can see all our payment methods in our webshop (scroll to end of page).

Once you purchase the initial Dealer Credit Pack, and all your licenses are used up, xHP switches to PayPal invoice mode.

If you do not have a PayPal account or PayPal is not available in your country, you can also continue purchasing unlocks through our webshop.

Do I need a VAT ID / UID number?

Dealers located inside the EU need to have a valid VAT ID / UID number (for taxation purposes), which we will check in your registration form. With the VAT ID you can get the VAT back from your revenue office.

In case your VAT ID changes, please contact us immediately at support@rbttuning.com and tell us your new ID so it is correct on your next bill.

Dealers inside the EU who have no valid VAT ID (or have not informed us about a new ID) will be billed 20% VAT extra. In this case please contact us to cancel your invoice and you can order again with the valid VAT ID.


DEALER BACKEND & APP


How does the xHP dealer backend work?

After you log into your xHP account (via the app or desktop), you will be greeted by the xHP Pro Dashboard.

  • Dashboard: Here you find an overview of your xHP customers and their vehicles. You can edit customer name and vehicle plates here and bring up your invoices.

  • Billing: Here you see all the invoices. The backend will create one invoice per vehicle. More to the billing process and invoices.

  • Flashpoints: You also find your active flashpoints in the dealer backend. This is the address of your workshop, which is shown on the dealer map on the xHP Website. More to flashpoints.

  • Settings/Profile: Here you can see and edit your billing address. By default, this is the address you entered when registering your company, and which is also used for your flashpoint. However, you may change the billing address any time. If you want to also change your flashpoint address, then contact us at support@rbttuning.com to do this for you. All cars flashed through your account will be billed to the main address, xHP will not send invoices to subsidiaries.

  • Contact: Do you have any questions or problems? Then contact us via the web form in the backend. Or you can always write to us at support@rbttuning.com

How does the xHP Dealer App work?

Dealers use the tuner-access to the app: Once your account has been unlocked by us, go to https://pro.xhpflashtool.com/pro/app/login to log into the app. You can log manually within xHP, or use the social logins (Facebook, Google, Apple).

On the top left you have access to the side bar menu, which lets you access those functions:

  • Start Tour: Here you get a introductory tour to xHP, the necessary hardware, and how the flashing process with xHP is working.

  • My cars: Here you see which cars have already been connected. Click on a car to see the details. Click on “connect” to identify and connect to the vehicle, or select your car directly on the “My cars” screen. Read on here for details on how to flash maps (OTS and custom maps).

  • Diagnostics: Here you can read and delete Fault codes stored in your Transmission Control Unit. You can also read the current adaptation values of your transmission.

  • Credits: Here you see how many credits / vehicle unlocks you have, if you have bought a Dealer Credit Pack (for 6-speed, 7-speed and 8-speed).

  • Invoices: See the invoices assigned to your account.

  • Support Check: Check here to see if your car / your customers car is supported. You can check this also offline or via the “check support” feature on our website. Click here for more details on vehicle support check.

  • Send Logs: It might be necessary for troubleshooting purposes to send us your logs. If you push the button they will be automatically sent to us. Please reach out to support@rbttuning.com to describe your problem and we will check the logs.

What is a Flashpoint and how does it work?

Every registered tuner has their own “Flashpoint”. This is the address of the workshop which is shown on the dealer map on the xHP website.

Flashpoints are key to getting customers to your site. Over 30.000 people visit our website every month. When they look for a workshop nearby, they enter their address and the nearest flashpoints are shown on the dealer map. That way, customers know, they can visit you to get an xHP tune.

If you have more than one workshop, please contact us at support@rbttuning.com with your subsidiary-address, and we create another flashpoint for you. Be sure to provide all the details (company name, phone, address, city, country etc.)

Please do also contact us, if you don’t want your address to be shown on the dealer map.

Can I share my account with another tuner or end consumer?

No, account sharing is strictly forbidden and will lead to immediate termination of your account. Only one account per dealer is allowed.

The xHP Pro Login enables you to unlock cars at a reduced rate, and all unlocks are tied to your company account.

However, your customers can purchase a discounted Upgrade-License (including License and Map-Pack) in our webshop, to transfer a dealer unlock to their personal account. More about upgrade licenses for end consumers.

How do I unlock vehicles for my customers?

For any flash operation you need to get an initial Dealer Credit Pack in our shop and, if this is used up, either buy more Credit Packs, or flash separate vehicles and pay via PayPal invoices for each one 24 hrs after the vehicle has been unlocked.   • Log into your app with your email address used for registration. More on app functions.

  • The app will show the car list on the “my cars” page, which acts as the main screen.

  • Prepare your car and connect to your vehicle, using the required hardware. See here more details on how to connect to your customers car. See here which hardware to use.

  • For all flash operations, either click the “Connect” button on the main screen to identify your vehicle, or select it directly from the list on the “My cars” screen. Then open your car. You will see a lightning bolt button on the bottom right side in the app. Click it to open the menu:

LICENSING


Licenses/Credits: Do I need them, how do I get them, how do I use them?

Yes, you need Dealer Credits to flash customer cars. One Dealer Credit Pack includes 3 credits/vehicle unlocks, which means you can flash 3 cars for your customers.

And, unlike an end consumer, you do NOT have to purchase xHP Flash License and Map Pack separately.

The difference between the end consumer price and your dealer price is the profit margin earned by you. The higher you set the enduser price, the higher your own profit.

When your dealer account is first activated, you need to purchase a Dealer Credit Pack via our website to start flashing cars. Dealer Credit packs are purchased separately for 6-, 8- and 7- speed cars.

Please use your xHP Pro Account's email address to order in our Webshop. This ensures that your Dealer Credits are added automatically to your Pro-Account within minutes after purchase. Your current credits are shown inside xHP (Sidebar Menu). xHP will switch to PayPal-Invoice mode, once your credits are used up.

With the Dealer Credit Pack you get both the flash license and the map pack in one sweep (= “vehicle unlock”, either for 6-, 8-, or 7-speed cars), whereas the enduser has to buy those separately.

Can I test xHP before buying anything?

The download of the xHP app is free. You can connect your car, read fault codes from your TCU and read your transmissions adaption values.

For any flash operation you need to get an initial Dealer Credit Pack in our shop and, if this is used up, either buy more Dealer Credit Packs, or flash separate vehicles and pay via PayPal invoices for each one 24 hrs after the vehicle has been unlocked.

Can my customers also use xHP after they had their cars flashed?

If end users want to flash their own car after they had it flashed by a dealer, the car can be transfered to an end user account by using the xHP Upgrade License.

  • Benefits of the upgrade license: With the Upgrade License, end users are getting access to all the functionality of the app, like a non-xHP Pro dealer user.

  • Requirements for upgrade license: The License can be used if the following criteria apply:

    • Car has an active unlock by an official xHP Pro Dealer

    • Invoice has been settled by the dealer

    • There has been no xHP Upgrade License applied for this car in the past (only one Upgrade License per xHP Pro unlock is possible).

  • Access to the upgrade license: The license can be accessed through a link in our webshop, which is not visible for normal visitors. You can give this link to interested customers, if they ask: https://shop.rbttuning.com/products/xhp-upgrade-license . The license can be applied to any vehicle previously flashed by an xHP Pro dealer. After purchasing the license in the webshop, end users will get a code which unlocks the “xHP Flash License” and also the “xHP Map pack”.


Is there a trial period for my customers?

There is a 24-hour trial period available only for selected dealers.

If you have been a xHP Pro dealer for some time, have flashed many cars and have no record of overdue bills, then you might also apply for a trial period via support@rbttuning.com .

Benefits of the trial period:

  • After you flashed your customers car, he has a 24h time window, to take it for a test drive and to really see and feel the changes.

  • If the customer is not satisfied with his xHP tune, you can “uninstall xHP” and “cancel vehicle unlock” within 24h after the initial unlock.

How to cancel the vehicle unlock:

  • Uninstall xHP and cancel the vehicle unlock by uninstalling the tune from the vehicle. Once the uninstall is complete, press the three white dots in the upper-right corner and select “Cancel Vehicle Unlock”.

  • The app will message you accordingly.


TROUBLESHOOTING (ACCOUNT, DEALER MAP …)

My account is locked, why? What can I do?

If your account is locked, you cannot access the dealer backend or the app any more with your dealer email address and password and therefore cannot flash any new cars. You can still access existing vehicles, but are not able to carry out further unlocks.

If your account has been locked or might get locked in the near future, you get an email with further information, which also includes the reason for the possible closure. You can always contact us at support@rbttuning.com if you think, a mistake has been made and to ask about the reason for the lock.

Your account might be locked due to one of these reasons:

  • Bills were not paid in time and you got too many reminders

    • Your account is automatically locked, if there are more than 21 days without payment for one bill. If you pay the bill, then your account will be unlocked again.

  • We’ve noticed fraudulent behaviour on your side.

    • If we notice fraudulent behaviour, then we lock your account immediately. You can contact us at support@rbttuning.com if you think this has been a mistake.

  • You flashed less than 3 cars in the last 6 months.

    • Due to huge growth in our dealer network, we were forced to start filtering for actually active dealers. We want to foster those, who use our product frequently and drive potential customers to their workshop. That’s why we have an activity check for all our xHP dealers, which runs automatically at the beginning of every month. Dealers unlocking less than 3 cars in 6 months are flagged and get an email accordingly. Your account won’t be locked immediately due to inactivity: you’ll get a warning first that your flashpoint might get hidden on the dealer map.

    • Flashpoint hidden: This is the first step. If you have flashed only 0-3 cars in the last 6 months before the activity check, you will get an email warning you that your flashpoint is now hidden on the dealer map. This means, your workplace is not visible any more there. It will be visible again should flash at least 6 cars altogether within the 6 months when the next activity check takes place. This will be checked at the beginning of each month. More information about flashpoints.

    • Flashpoint visible again: Your flashpoint is hidden on the dealer map and but you have flashed at least 3 cars in the last 6 months before the activity check takes place (which takes place for three months after the flashpoint has been hidden), then your flashpoint will be set to visible again. If not, see next step below.

    • Account locked: If your flashpoint is hidden and you didn’t flash the required minimum of 3 cars in the last 6 months, for 3 month after the flashpoint was hidden, then your account will be locked due to inactivity. You can access existing cars, but cannot unlock new vehicles. Contact us at support@rbttuning.com if you think this has been a mistake or if you have reasons for your account to be unlocked again.

Unlocking your account:

  • When you have UNUSED DEALER CREDITS AVAILABLE, your account is NEVER LOCKED DUE TO INACTIVITY and your flashpoint never hidden. Be sure to buy new Dealer Credits or not use up the last old one, should you think that business might not be so good in the next months. Note: Your account might still be locked in case we notice any fraudulent behaviour.

Please contact us at support@rbttuning.com if you think locking your account has been a mistake or you have a reason why you could flash less cars than usual in the past months.

My workshop is hidden on the dealer map, why? What can I do?

Why is it hidden?

  • If you have flashed only 0-3 cars in the 5 months before the activity check, you will get an email warning you that your flashpoint will be hidden on the dealer map.

  • This means, your workplace will not be visible any more on the dealer map, should you not flash at least 6 cars within the 6 months before the next activity check takes place.

  • This will be checked each month with the next activity check.

Un-hide your account / make account visible again

  • Should you have flashed at least 6 cars in the previous 9 months, when an activity check takes place at the beginning of the next month, then your flashpoint gets set to visible again. Your place of work can be seen again on the dealer map.

Please contact us at support@rbttuning.com if you think hiding your flashpoint has been a mistake or you have a reason why you could flash less cars than usual in the past months.
