xHP is developed for flashing ZF6HP/ZF8HP and DCT (Dual-Clutch) automatic transmissions in BMW vehicles. It won’t connect nor operate on other vehicle brands or other automatic transmissions. The ZF6HP/8HP’s were BMWs automatic transmissions of choice for nearly their complete lineup, from the early 2000s till today, while the DCT was used mostly in M-Cars.
Mapping a transmission is a tedious task and has to be done on the road, specific for a certain vehicle. Therefore, we can’t support “all” BMW’s in one sweep. Here you can learn more about how we are mapping transmissions.
There are multiple ways to check if your car is supported by xHP:
You can easily Check Support for your car with the xHP Flashtool app. In the left Sidebar Menu click on “Check Support”. The App offers 3 options. If you already have the necessary hardware in place, you can just connect to your car. This function is always available, without having to create a Login in xHP.
With this method you can check what custom options supported for your specific car, by clicking on the car and then on “flash settings”. All options that are not “greyed” out are available.
If you want to check offline, please select your vehicle from the dropdown boxes below or just enter your Type code to search our database. The Type Code is the 4th to 7th Digit of your vehicles VIN! If you can’t find your vehicle there, it is not supported yet. If your vehicle is supported, the App will present you the details on your car and you can browse through the features of each Stage for your car!
Alternatively, you can also look at our “Check Support” feature on ourHomepage. We do our best to keep this list as correct and up-to-date as possible. However, BMW changed TCUs regularly during the production lifecycle and there may be cases where your vehicle is on the list but still not supported. These cases are rare, but cannot be avoided 100%. If you are unsure, contact us through e-mail or on Facebook.
