xHP Flashtool crashes on Startup
If xHP Flashtool for Windows crashes on startup (right after the splash screen), you can try installing the following tools and runtimes, which are required to run xHP Flashtool but may be missing from your Windows installation. Please install the tools/runtimes one by one and check if xHP Flashtool starts correctly.

ms-appinstaller cannot download app packages
On some devices, the MS-Appinstaller is deactivated, and because of this, the xHP Flashtool App for Windows cannot download the required packages.
Here are the step-by-step instructions for both regular and enterprise usersthe AppInstaller Protocol on Windows.
For Normal Users
Update Windows-
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
Click on Check for updates.
Update App Installer
Open the Microsoft Store.
Search for App Installer and select it.
Click on Update if available.

Check for Additional Windows Updates-
Return to Windows Update.
Click on Check for updates again.
For Enterprise Users
Update Windows
Ensure that Windows is updated to the latest version.
Update to the Latest Version of App Installer
Update to the latest version of the App Installer.
- Download from the Microsoft Download Center if necessary.Enable ms-appinstaller Protocol via Group Policy-
Download the Desktop App Installer policy.
Open Local Group Policy Editor.
Navigate to
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Desktop App Installer
.Select “Enable App Installer ms-appinstaller protocol”.

Keep your system and App Installer updated.

Check for Windows Updates: Please verify if there are any pending Windows Updates. If so, update your system and then restart your computer. This ensures that your system is up-to-date and compatible with the xHP Installer.
Download the Latest xHP Installer: Ensure you have the most recent version of the xHP Installer. You can download it directly from here.
Run as Administrator: To avoid installation issues, right-click on the xHP Installer and select "Run as Administrator". This grants the necessary permissions for a smooth installation process.
Firewall and Antivirus Permissions: Please check your firewall and antivirus settings to ensure the xHP Installer is not blocked. You may need to temporarily disable these protections or create an exception for the xHP Installer.
