Where can I buy xHP Licences, and what do I need to buy?

The only place to buy xHP Licenses is from our webshop. Most customers will need the xHP Flash Licence and the xHP Map Pack.

Can I try xHP before I buy?

Downloading xHP is free. You can connect to your car, read your TCU's fault codes, and read your transmission's adaptation values. For any flash operation, you must purchase the suitable xHP Flash-License and xHP-Map Pack for your car from the webshop.

Can I use xHP to revert to stock at any time?

xHP creates a full backup before attempting any flash operation. No action is required on your part. You can flash this backup to your vehicle at any time.

Can I switch between different OTS and custom tunes?

You can switch between tunes as often as you like. xHP Flash-Licenses and xHP-Map Packs are “lifetime”, and you can use xHP on as many devices as you like.

Do I need the xHP Flash licence and the xHP Map Pack?

The xHP Flash Licence is mandatory to flash your car. With the xHP Flash-Licence, you can already apply all the customisation features to your backup calibration, allowing you to flash our OTS maps. You can use the Flash Licence standalone but not the Map Pack. If you purchase a map pack, you must also purchase a flash licence to use the OTS maps.

  • You will need at least the xHP Flash-Licence to flash your car and have access to the customisation module. With this module, you can modify all maps you have purchased.
    Please refer to the Custom Functions chapter for more information on the Custom Module.

  • The xHP-Map Pack contains all the OTS maps available for your car, customised for your car.
    More details on what the OTS maps do can be found in the xHP Support Checker!
    Simply search for your type code (4th to 7th digit of your VIN) and click the "Details" button below.

For utilizing the full potential of xHP, you need to purchase both (Flash License and Map Pack) in our Webshop.

A dealer has flashed my car in the past. Can I change any settings myself with xHP?

Dealers can flash your car but cannot resell End User Licences. However, we do offer the xHP Upgrade Licence at a significantly reduced price for cars that dealers have already flashed. These licences include the xHP Flash-Licence & xHP-Map Pack in one go! Please see the Licences section for more information!

I have lost/changed my device. How do I get xHP to work again?

Reinstall xHP and log in with the email account you initially set up xHP with. All your data will be stored on our server and restored when you log in.

What happens to my licence if I get a new car or install a new gearbox?

To move an existing xHP licence to another of your vehicles or a new transmission, you must follow all of the below steps:

  • Uninstall xHP from the gearbox. You will find the 'Full Uninstall' function in the 'Flash Menu' within the 'Backup' calibration
    Simply uninstalling the application from your phone or flashing the 'Backup' map is not enough!

  • After successfully uninstalling xHP from the transmission, ensure the xHP application is connected to the internet.

  • Connect the phone to your new car once so both cars appear in the app's vehicle overview and are stored on your device.

  • Please contact us at support@rbttuning.com with your original VIN (and new VIN if you got a new car) so we can verify the successful uninstall.
    We will then be able to transfer your licence from your old VIN to your new VIN or new transmission, respectively.

Licences are not transferable to other users.

​Licences can only be transferred once from one vehicle to another of the same transmission type (6HP, 8HP & 7DCT) and generation (E-Series, F-Series & G-Series).

My licence does not show up, and the voucher codes no longer work!

Please make sure you are trying to log in with the correct account! We have added an account finder at the bottom of the login screen. Enter your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), and xHP will hint which account has been used for this car.

If you purchased through Google Play in 2017/2018, your licence will eventually need to be ported to our new licensing system. Please make sure you download the latest iOS, Android or Windows PC version of xHP, click Login and use the same email to log in that you used to purchase on Google Play.

This method may not work for very early 2017 buyers. If your licences still do not appear, please contact us at support@rbttuning.com.
