Warning

The DCAN-cable cannot be used to unlock and then flash the 3rd Generation 8HP transmission in G-Series BMWs and the new Supra. Please use the DCAN Wi-Fi Adapter.

Possible Wi-Fi Connection issues with Windows 11

The device shows a successful connection to the Wi-Fi Adapter, but a connection to the car is not possible. This happens due to an incompatible assigned IP address by the operating system.

Quick fix
Please check the IP-address of your device, assigned by the Operating System.
192.168.4.xxx - The OS assigned a compatible IP-address to the Wi-Fi adapter
169.xxx.xxx.xxx - A “Fallback IP” got assigned by the OS.

Please turnthe Wi-Fi on your Laptop OFF for 30 Seconds, then reconnect to the Wi-Fi adapter.

Unplugging the Wi-Fi adapter does NOT work.

Now a compatible IP should be assigned and you should be able to connect to the car

Make sure to connect only one device (phone/tablet/laptop) at the time to the WiFi adapter.

Having multiple devices connected using the same static IP will cause network conflicts.

The device would seem to be connected correctly to the WiFi adapter, but your car would not show up as connected in the app.

ENET Cable

Just plug in your ENET Cable to the Ethernet port on your computer. In some cases, the connection will not work straight away and additional network settings are required. Sometimes unused Windows network adapters interfere with the connection and must therefore be deactivated. If you don’t know which network adapters to deactivate, you can try to deactivate all network adapters except the Ethernet adapter and see if the connection works. You can then re-activate the network adapters to find out which causes the interference.
